Current Update
Our rescues, Jessi and Sonny, are doing very well.
Jessi’s personality is really coming out. She has more energy now, and more confidence, and she is testing her environment which is a good thing. She has become our fastest eater, which is different than a few weeks ago when she was our slowest eater. She is at a good weight and her strength is building. She wants to play with the other dogs but doesn’t quite know how. We are pretty sure we have a home for her. Her potential family is on vacation until September, and when they get back they are going to come over and see if they want to finalize the adoption.
Sonny is as sweet as a bug. His mounting is going away as he is settling into his place in the pack. He likes to sleep on the couch, and he loves to snuggle. He has not marked at all since the first day so he is settling in that way, too. He sleeps on the bed with me, snuggled up. He’s a silly, sweet collie boy just like all collie boys. I love collie boys! He doesn’t bark much for a collie, which is nice. And he’s mellow, and also loves to go one walks.
So things are going well. The deaf and partially blind boy, Bo, is going to go to a lady in Washington who has other special needs dogs, so that will work out great. There are a couple collies in Vernal, Utah, in the shelter there. They want to try to place them themselves. If they have problems we will try to bring them into rescue here in Salt Lake.
So that’s the latest news!
On this day..
