Bo Needs a Rescue
This is Bo and he is a rough collie boy (with a haircut) up in Idaho. Hopefully we will be able to get him down to us in the next couple of weeks. Click this picture to see a bigger copy.
Bo is what is called a Double Dilute. Some collies come with the merle gene, and this gene is what causes the blue merle color. If you breed two blue merle collies together, you can potentially get an offspring that has two copies of this merle gene. When you do, the puppy can often be born blind or deaf, or both. Sometimes they are born with no eyes at all.
Bo is a double dilute. He is deaf in both ears and he is blind in one eye. He is a special needs boy that will need a great home. He is still in Idaho right now, but after we get him down here we will be putting him up for adoption. If anyone is interested in a very special boy, please let us know.
