Ladybug that is wonderful about your girl. My border collie is a good mix too... though I'm not sure if he is pure BC or a mix since he is also a rescue, but not as intense as other BCs. I hope you have many many years with your girl.

My current collie-girl is a mix. She is collie/border collie, and I got the best of both worlds with her. She doesn't have that extremely thick undercoat that the collie has, and she doesn't have that hyperactive drive the border collie has. She's just right! Since she is my Service dog she has just the right amount of energy to go with me anywhere but also the couch potato-ness of many collies to stay under the table at restaurants until I'm done. She gets compliments everywhere we go! She is a shaded sable and white and in the right light almost looks mahogany. And at 10 years of age her only problem is that she has a touch of arthritis in her hip. Here's hoping she and I have many more years yet to come!
