Mac is a Smooth Collie
Mac came to us as an owner surrender as his family could not give him the time and attention he really deserved.
He is an adult, neutered male smooth-coated Collie. If you’ve always wanted a collie, but were not sure about the long coats, maybe you’d consider a smooth-coated collie instead! Mac is house trained, and has been using a dog door at his foster home. He is extremely sweet and smart! He knows a number of basic commands, including sit, and he immediately comes when called and he is good on-leash. And he LOVES to go for walks!
He has his own bed, blankets, food bowls and leashes that will go with him to his new home. He is great with kids and cats (kids he sits quietly by and gazes adoringly at while they pet him; cats he simply ignores completely). He is good w/ other dogs, has happily lived with his 3 Schipperkes foster mates. He would love to have another dog companion in his new home. Like most collies, he is somewhat vocal - likes to talk to you and tell you how his day went - but quiets when asked to.
Mac is one exceptional boy. he’s so intelligent and such a lover-boy. whoever gets to adopt him will be one lucky family!
